The area between Kessex Hills and Lions Arch by boss-bossin Guildwars2

[–]Bobloblawlawbomb 1 point2 points ago

There's a major plot point in that area of the map that I don't think is in yet. If I remember correctly, a number of Tengu were guarding the entrance there in Lion's Arch.

They will be unable to reserve that name until the day after launch day. Your name is reserved until then.

Julius Mays adds an outside threat to Kentucky's top ranked recruiting class by HenryEarlin CollegeBasketball

This is something I'd love to see: if the one and done rule were to be eliminated, Cal has a great reputation developing players who didn't quite reach that potential. He's turned ruined players back into NBA-quality ones (Darius Miller) and taken players who never had a prayer in the NBA and brought them into the draft (Josh Harrelson). It seems like this kid deserves it.

Hitchens, "every muslim you kill means there is one less to fight you." “Demolish it!” he said, when asked about Iran by Ehsaunin islam

[–]Bobloblawlawbomb 1 point2 points ago

Exactly. It's a poor comparison when we take a particular religion and compare it to Atheism as a whole. It is safer to compare Theism and Atheism, in which case it is impossible to kill for either as neither have a moral doctrine or code about them.

[–]Bobloblawlawbomb 1 point2 points ago

I think it's wrong to generalize, too, but your requirements for your thesis are wrong.

We would need at least one person who is a decent human being who both is not religious and has not demonstrably been affected by religion in any way. Also, we need to define "decent." and "religious," as well as determine what criteria allows a person to not have been meaningfully affected by religion. It really is a slippery discussion that's more complex than you make it.

I'm downvoting you, but not because I don't sympathize with how you feel.

We need to be careful who we label as "Terrorist." Others have let the definition get away from them, and we need not validate that definition by labeling others who haven't actually yet engaged in a violent act as such.

Care to expand? I was hoping more for specific issues with the community rather than a blanket condemnation.

How To Guild Wars 2: Lion's Arch Guided Tour (by Tales of Tyria) by Bridger15in Guildwars2

[–]Bobloblawlawbomb 5 points6 points ago

Lion's Arch, even if it were the only major city of the game on its own, is incredibly impressive. The fact that there are five more equally-impressive cities makes me feel like the detail given to this game has to be worth the $60 to any serious PC gamer out there.

I'm also very excited that all three mid-level factions exist in Lion's Arch. It guarantees the city will be frequented by players later on and act as the central trading hub and gives hope that there will be personal story instances in Lion's Arch. I think a visit by Zhaitan or Bubbles is in store.

It's a stress-test specifically designed to see how servers will handle people coming home from work and logging on throughout the day.

Sounds Good. Even if they aren't set in stone next BWE, we can at the very least have these positions filled to try out what they feel like during that time.

Thoughts on the "Guild" Part of Guild Wars 2 from a full-packed guild. by Bobloblawlawbombin Guildwars2

[–]Bobloblawlawbomb[S] 0 points1 point ago

If 5,000 people can coexist on a server, that's 5 alliances of 1000 each at the least. I think that's very reasonable, considering you PvP against all servers. Also, your guild doesn't have to be all on one server; players from different servers can join the same guild.

Your alts are already in a guild. Guilds are account-based.

Seriously. Explain to me how Cal would have had the omniscience, short of being told directly by Derrick Rose, that he had cheated on his SAT. Tell me how, short of being told straight up, Coach Cal would have known that Marcus Camby had accepted money from an NBA Agent. Tell me how he would have been able to prevent that when he recruited him and Camby did it in his Junior year.

These are actions by players. They are actions you would definitely hide from your coach. Cal is in charge of himself, the actions of his staff, and the actions of his players in practice and on the court. He is not in charge of their lives and can't prevent them from things they hide from him.

Edit: Even by your own definition "Anything that goes down in the program is on your watch" doesn't apply to these situations, both of which happened OUTSIDE of the program. Considering how vicious the NCAA is on coaches nowadays, don't you think they would have gladly taken Cal down if they had the evidence?

"0 for 2" as if he never coached elsewhere and doesn't have a single unvacated season? "0 for 2" as in he was implicated, found in violation, or punished for either situation? "0 for 2" as in how anything being looked at has any relation to Calipari yet? You hate Cal because you hate him, not because of violations. You cling to the violations because it justifies it.

You can actually trigger it when you want. You can control who has the ability to trigger it in your guild, too.

I agree. I actually forgot about this: inviting people was VERY annoying in the first few hours. Just let me right click their chat name to ginvite rather than having to open the panel and enter them manually.
