Sometimes users just want to speak their minds

I don't see the point in giving redditors an ultimatum. I doubt many people would really leave the site over this. It's a heated,emotional, and some say important discussion and redditors who want to participate in the discussion, like yourself, are participating.

What you perceive as a "circlejerk" is actually a pretty good overview of how the community feels about these issues...
