I have a condition called dermatographism AKA 'skin writing'. What's something strange about your body that's not necessarily good or bad? by NotTart5in AskReddit

Because when a baby is born no one actually checks for these nubs.

It's totally unimportant.

For all intended purposes, no one is born with wisdom teeth

You still have to grow them though....

Everyone is born with no teeth. None at all.

I can shake my eyeballs.

Freaks a lot of people out. Kind of looks like someone who's had a lot of Ecstasy and gets REM just randomly happening.

Heya,

Yea I have looked at living further out but then I would have to pay to commute, that would take my expenses up to about the same as if I was in the centre anyway so may as well just start in the centre lol.

You're right, it is ridiculous law, but it's still the law.

I agree with what someone else said, people will be behave like an ass, for the sake of behaving like an ass.

Even if your set of rules were law, no one would follow them.

I know plenty of people who will go out driving for the sole purpose of intimidating learner drivers and cutting them off because they aren't allowed to speed up.

Ipswich is inland from Brisbane, that's more like Gladstone or Rockhampton.

As an Aussie living in the UK, I can confirm that Newcastle NSW is indeed in QLD ಠ_ಠ

If you're American. I am not.

You have failed to consider other countries and other road rules.

For example when I first got my license I lived in Australia. Which meant that legally I could only drive at 80. Everyone else could drive at 110.

So when an overtaking lane started, everyone would go past me, but then when it ended, because of the rules in my state, I was expected to merge back in with the faster traffic which is impossible because I can only do 80, and my lane ends, they are all doing 110 so I get forced into a ditch.

Because of this, as soon as an over taking lane starts, I would drive in that at my legal 80 and force all the douchbags who would otherwise run me off the road to either deal with it or undertake me on the left.

Yes that's illegal, but so is 500 cars forcing a young driver off the side of the road into a ditch because they are too impatient to wait for the next overtaking lane.

Why should I pull over because some douche behind me wants to speed?

Sadly I can't get a dog, my mum isn't keen and my cat would hate it lol. I intend to get a puppy and kitten when I have my own place though, I want to bring them up together =)

My mum has seen pet rats before, she's none to keen haha. The tails really freak her out =( I like the idea of a hamster though, they are very cute and it will require some real dedication from me to look after it and tame it.

I had a budgie once, poor thing hated everyone and pulled out all his feathers. I i'm not very good with birds =(

After 9 hours my dog stormed in. Tears were shed. by whowantsricein funny

Thanks for the reply =)

That's wonderful you had so many animals around as a child.

I agree, it's just a matter of finding the right one. I am really looking forward to getting to take care of it on a regular basis. My cat just needs feeding and some water which my mum normally beats me too lol.

Yea I know, he used to bring me animals all the time lol. I never told him off for it though, he always had a smugness about him after he'd done it which was sort of cute haha.

I would let him out, 20 minutes later he would want to come back in. Then 20 minutes after that he would want to go back out. Rinse and repeat lol all freaking night.

He lives on a different farm now where the people don't mind him bringing bloody dead things into the house lol - they're tougher than me!

If i'd had the money I would have bought him a cat run, I highly doubt it would have been effective though, he could jump from the ground to the roof in one bound! Master escape artist he would have destroyed it lol.

I was considering mice but my mum doesn't like the smell and rats freak her out so I compromised on a hamster. It should be great, they are nocturnal and I sleep through most days then work at night so I can play with it before and after work =)

Your pit bull sounds lovely =)

There are a lot of groups but they are all for children =( I will look into WrongPlanet though, thanks! I haven't heard of it before.

Lol thanks for your reply =)

I would love to have a dog but I live in a fairly small house with a small garden. My cat would hate it and my mum would never allow it anyway - I am holding out for a dog for when I move out. I've always wanted to get a puppy and a kitten and bring them up together =)

Thanks for the info about the oxytocin - that was really interesting and made me smile!

I don't think I need help in regards to my need for animals as friends.

I just started thinking today what its unhealthy. It occurred to me its not very nice to put so much pressure on an animal. Obviously the animal isn't aware of it but I feel almost guilty now I've realised how dependant I am on them.

They don't judge me, they don't purposefully exclude me. They're just there and never leave me like people do. So I get really attached and put human traits to them.

But then again I suppose NTs may well do that too but not really think about it.

Don't fight stupid people, just laugh at them by qdubin trees
