TROPHY CASE

For pool lanterns, stick a glow stick in a balloon and blow it up! by actonesceneonein LifeProTips

It wouldn't need to be a beachball per say. All you would really need is any kind of clear waterproof plastic orb shaped thing.

...and scattering plastic trash throughout the land! Garbage for all!

Dog shot by police in March- This one was standing still wagging it's own tail on the owners property. This has to stop. by ErichUberSonicin dogs

Worst part is the dog was being watched by a relative who had to go to the hospital. The dog got out after he left.

It's okay, I'm just going to go cry in my Maple-Blueberry-Lobster.

Glowsticks are so wasteful. Try using a led in a frosted beach ball instead. That way you're creating far less waste, and you can re-use it.

Ah sorry. I didn't catch that. We can all agree that NE is the place to be. As a Mainer who grew up in NH, I feel just as much at home in VT as I do in my hometown or current town. Tri-State Unite!

Nope! Maine has you beat. Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia.

I think that the saying "dress for the job you want to have" applies in music performance just as much as anywhere else. Like it or not, people will judge the band by the way they look. You can still look good without being uncomfortable.

Now just work on that wardrobe. I'm retracting this statement to be more positive.

Can I make a suggestion? If you want to get more noticed, you might want to consider a few small clothing adjustments. You can still be comfortable, but you could look way more a rock star with slightly better fitting/darker jeans, and maybe a better fitting shirt. I know, you are who you are and don't want to change anything. I've been there. I get it. But like it or not, people will judge you and your band by the way you look. The phrase "dress for the job you want" applies on stage, too. You don't look bad, if you were just a guy doing something normal, but shit man, even if it's your first gig, why not pretend its your 101st and be the rock icon you want to be?

Thanks that's the best part for sure! Took way too long to make the stencil, but it was worth it.

Oh it's just an old handlebar from a MTB I was using to prop it up.

My only concern with that is that my posture already feels a bit low. I don't think I could handle losing more height off the bars.

I agree, I wasn't thrilled with it. It looks huge and rough compared to the rest of the bike.

Sort of. It's an old rubber tube wrapped around the frame, then covered with electrical tape. I wasn't sure what to put there. Any recommendations that wouldn't look as bad?

Sure! It was all spray paint from NAPA- I have photos from every stage, and am working on a blog post with more detail. Once that's done I'll be sure to post it. It was originally a 2000 (I think, maybe older) Redline Conquest Cyclo-X. Bear in mind that I'm a total noob at this. I've never done anything like it before, despite having owned bikes my entire life (I'm 32).

I stripped it down using the non-chemical arm-cramping method of hand sanding (with a drill paint stripping drill bit attachment) That took me several days. Once cleaned and plugged, I did two coats of spray gray primer. Then I applied three coats of "shimmering green" (Metal Specks). After a week of drying, I applied the painters tape and did the lines.

The gray was originally a metallic silver,(photo of first coat of silver on frame) however the enamel had some kind of reaction to it and turned it gray. I don't mind the look. After that I taped up the gray and did another coat of green, before applying 3 coats of enamel to the completed frame.

Whole thing took about a month, as it's been constant rain for the past few weeks and I don't have a garage. It's been the best project I've had on my plate in a long time. I hope to do at least one more this summer.

Sweet! I did it all for the karma. ;) I'll do at least one more, still looking for a frame. I really would love to do a black and red Targaryan with a fabricated three headed dragon inside the large cog, but it appears to be beyond my means. (metal fabrication)
