No, he was a prospect.

If a guy is a hot prospect, his promoters are going to get him easy fights to buil up his record. Look at a lot of top fighters and their early fights are often against guys with losing records, or even guys with winning records but they're just club fighters who have in turn fought bums themselves, or don't have the amateur pedigree of the prospect being built up.

"he's 20-0 but he hasn't really fought anyone yet"/"so and so was a good _____weight but he never was really challenged early on" No, 20-0 (or whatever record) means they beat that many people. They weren't "challenged" early on because they were good. That's how someone stands out

Actually a lot of guys just starting out fight nothing but bums to build their record up and get experience. So it's a valid point to say they've never been challenged or fought 'anyone'
