Dammit why are we still dealing with falsifiability. Firstly not a scientific hypothesis, secondly that isn't even how science works.

If you're not interested in being able to prove your theory, why rely on it? Why consider it meaningful? If you don't even believe it can be proved, how can you use it? Of course this is how science works: through constant challenge. If you can't defend your findings then you don't get to present them.

When MR's can come up with a coherent theory then I will be interested.

And when feminists can begin dealing in fact, in reality, rather than wild, unfounded theories, we'll listen.

It is a special interest group which does face real issues. However as anything like a critique of an ideology or a rethinking of theories MR is a failure.

Since there are so many measures of failure and success, I find it difficult to believe you could write off such a fast-growing movement, with so many corollaries, as an empirical failure. But then, as you've stated, you don't work with fact, you work with feelings.

I would write a long-winded explanation about how hate, sexism, and general bigotry is wrong, no matter the recipient, but I notice you post in SRS subreddits, so you have no intention of understanding either nuance, nor any facts or logic which conflicts with your narrow ideology. As a men's rights advocate, I would argue that it's better not to create and propagate spurious theories without first testing and attempting to validate them. One major concern of ours is patriarchy theory. It's unfalsifiable. The definition is ever-changing. The only common theme is that of men being oppressors and women being oppressed. It makes little attempt to nuance the argument (some men are oppressors, some women aren't oppressed; some women oppress), presumably because if it's analysed in any logical sense, we end up with a definition more akin to: 'some people oppress other people', and how on earth can you use that to hate men effectively?

So my challenge to you would be to base your beliefs on facts, not theory. That's what we try to do, which is why you don't see us coming up with our own matriarchy theory and attempting to blame all of the world's problems on women.

Also, reducing the entirely of men's rights to "whining..." is extremely dismissive, and shows a serious lack of concern for the issues which men face. With such an attitude, don't be surprised when others turn around and declare you sexist, or wash their hands of feminism for good.

It was originally coined on /b/, I believe. Since then it has spread to all four corners of the interweb, and beyond. It's a term used to describe men and women who suck up to women who they're attempting to win favour with. Since - and I'm going to dispense with the sensitivities - a large subsection of Reddit is comprised of men who are not very socially adept with women, they falsely believe that protecting their "honour" (even when unnecessary and uncalled-for) is both the required and accepted form of behaviour, and will win them favour. Hence "white knight".

This is of course ludicrous for many reasons, least not of which is the underlying implication what the women they're defending are helpless and child-like, and require defending at every turn, even from words which probably don't offend them at all. The hallmark of a white knight is their dedication to protecting only the honour of women. This shows they're not interested in equality, or political correctness, or any form of defense of people being treated unfairly. They're simply doing it because they're socially inept and think they can prove their worth (primarily to themselves) by "defending" women.

Honestly, I find your post fascinating. I wonder if you wouldn't mind expanding on this a little. My sister is a rather ardent Christian and finds the idea of gay people fornicating abhorrent. I, on the other hand, refuse to believe in a God who would create gay people and then persecute them. So we argue occasionally. Your knowledge would help immensely.
