Guys what if government is a good thing and we were wrong the whole time? by mzemelin Anarchism

[–]ITSGRiM 1 point2 points ago

The idea that government was loosely based on is valid. People banding together for a greater sum then its parts, the most experienced wisest help lead without a hierarchical authoritarian structure.

Now, its only similar in name only, there haven't been a Elected president since JFK, and he was more or less a corrupt playboy when he entered office but found a human conscious somewhere and become a real leader, but was obviously shot.

There are enough money (its a story in itself) and modern industrial tech that we could work 1h a day if that and still have a good life materially wise.

Just look at the damn tribes in the jungle, or the tribes next to the amazon river, there was a study done and they where amazed how little they worked and still manged to have food, house for everyone etc.. even trade surplus for machetes and other goods. If I remember correctly it was like 3-4h a day. They helped out each other though, and no one had x100000 more then the other one. I wonder if that was a factor?

We are slaves in a prison, for our minds, for our beliefs, for our history, we are worse then cattle to these psychopaths. A farmer would at least try to keep the herd healthy and not feed it poison via food, water and air...

This worries me, that this type of behaviour is still acceptable in the 21st century. (Video from the Greek Neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn) by E_mEin Anarchism

By looting the company like a vampire, leaving the bloodless body yeah :) Well if you play by their rules then yeah I guess Its a smart thing to do, but so would be killing and robbing a rich person, only one is technically legal.

Point being he destroyed the majority if not all of the companies he "consulted" the few successes that he or his staff claim, wasn't when he was active in the company.

If you think its smart to destroy companies that DO provide work and put all the employees on welfare or to compete for another job then sure, I guess I didn't make a point.

"smart business decisions.."

His specialty was flipping companies - or what he often calls "creative destruction." It's the age-old theory that the new must constantly attack the old to bring efficiency to the economy, even if some companies are destroyed along the way. In other words, people like Romney are the wolves, culling the herd of the weak and infirm.

His formula was simple: Bain would purchase a firm with little money down, then begin extracting huge management fees and paying Romney and his investors enormous dividends.

The result was that previously profitable companies were now burdened with debt. But much like the Enron boys, Romney's battery of MBAs fancied themselves the smartest guys in the room. It didn't matter if a company manufactured bicycles or contact lenses; they were certain they could run it better than anyone else.

Bain would slash costs, jettison workers, reposition product lines, and merge its new companies with other firms. With luck, they'd be able to dump the firm in a few years for millions more than they'd paid for it.

But the beauty of Romney's thesis was that it really didn't matter if the company succeeded. Because he was yanking out cash early and often, he would profit even if his targets collapsed.

(...)

The move was classic Bain. Before buying Georgetown, Romney had purchased the Armco steel mill in Kansas City, Missouri, which had been in business for more than 100 years.

"We were setting a lot of records for production at that time," says employee Steve Morrow. "We were making a lot of money because we were getting profit sharing."

Bain combined Armco with the mill in Georgetown and foundries in Tempe, Arizona, and Duluth, Minnesota, to form the newly christened GS Industries.

Romney purchased Armco with just $8 million down and borrowed the rest of the $75 million price tag. Then he issued bonds - basically IOUs - to borrow even more to pay himself and his investors $36 million.

Within a year, he'd already made four times his initial investment while barely lifting a finger. But he'd also run up a staggering $378 million in debt on GSI's tab.

etc....

http://www.sott.net/articles/show/124278-British-Government-s-Agent-Provocateurs-Exposed

Iraqi police detained two British soldiers in civilian clothes in the southern city Basra for firing on a police station on Monday, police said.

"Two persons wearing Arab uniforms opened fire at a police station in Basra. A police patrol followed the attackers and captured them to discover they were two British soldiers," an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

The two soldiers were using a civilian car packed with explosives, the source said. He added that the two were being interrogated in the police headquarters of Basra.

The British forces informed the Iraqi authorities that the two soldiers were performing an official duty, the source said. British military authorities said they could not confirm the incident but investigations were underway.

'There are people over there who we believe are policemen and who have been encouraging the crowd to throw things at the police,'" Brake said. But when the crowd became suspicious of the men and accused them of being police officers, the pair approached the police line and passed through after showing some form of identification.

The presence of Black Bloc anarchists - so named because they dress in black, obscure their faces, move as a unified mass, seek physical confrontations with police and destroy property - is a gift from heaven to the security and surveillance state.

  • Canada: Toronto G20 a year later: it's shocking how easily Canada became a brutal police state

http://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2011/07/19/18685269.php

The events of the G20 also left some wondering whether the Black Bloc group was causing mayhem with the permission of the police to make all protestors look like lawless thugs. Or can we go further? Can we suggest that the rioters were agents of the police, there to keep the anti-globalization message of the majority of protesters from being heard? It wouldn't be the first time; in fact the Quebec government infiltrated a protest with masked provocateurs in attempt to initiate violence and make the protesters look bad.

This is a long term reality of anti-government demonstrations. Ordinary people generally do not turn to violence easily, yet pathological people do. As a general rule, governments seed demonstrations with agents who act violently so that police and authorities can then criminalize ALL protestors so that their greivances can be deligitimized.

  • Monsanto sued for poisoning Argentine farmers

A 55-page complaint filed in court alleges that those chemicals caused conditions to develop that include cerebral palsy, epilepsy, spina bifida, congenital heart defects, Down syndrome, missing fingers and blindness.

  • Monsanto's Roundup is Causing DNA and Cellular Damage

The research comes shortly after Monsanto's all-too-popular Roundup has been shown to be killing off human kidney cells - even at low doses. Scientists demonstrated in the research that Monsanto's 'biopesticide' Bt, in addition to Roundup, cause direct toxicity to human cells. They found that at only 100 parts per million (ppm), the biopesticide led to cell death, while it only took 57.2ppm of Roundup to kill half of the cell population in their research. Turns out that the amount of Roundup shown to cause this damage is 200 times below agricultural use.

  • High-Fructose Corn Syrup
  1. Cancer Cells Love Fructose & It Has Been Linked to Pancreatic Cancer.

Apparently, cancer cells have a special attraction to fructose, according to recent research from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). "Pancreatic tumor cells use fructose to divide and proliferate," the study, which was published in the journal Cancer Research, found. This seems to explain what researchers found previously, that pancreatic cancer is linked to fructose intake:

"[These findings] have major significance for cancer patients given dietary refined fructose consumption, and indicate that efforts to reduce refined fructose intake or inhibit fructose-mediated actions may disrupt cancer growth," Dr. Anthony Heaney of UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center and colleagues wrote.

  1. High-Fructose Corn Syrup Linked to Liver Disease

"A new study suggests that for those with nonalcoholic fatty liver, drinking a lot of beverages sweetened with fructose may do the same thing as liquor," a study by Duke University researchers published in March in the journal Hepatology found.

Compared to subjects who drank the least fructose beverages, those who drank the most were significantly more likely to have the hepatic scarring that will more often progress to cirrhosis or liver cancer. And older subjects who regularly consumed fructose beverages showed more signs of liver inflammation. After they stripped out the effects of age, gender and body-mass index, the researchers also found that the heavy fructose drinkers also have lower levels of HDL (or "good") cholesterol.

  • New Study Confirms: Organic Food is Far Healthier Than Conventional

Recently the United Kingdom's Food Standards Agency (FSA) reviewed existing research on the nutritional content of organic produce concluded that there was no difference, nutritionally, between organic and non-organic produce. The FSA study did not examine the reasons most often given by consumers of organic produce, namely benefits to the environment, farm workers, and consumer health due to lower chemical use.

Yet the AFSSA review calls the FSA's conclusions into question. After conducting an "up-to-date exhaustive and critical evaluation of the nutritional and sanitary quality of organic food," French researchers concluded that organic produce is clearly nutritionally superior.

Organic produce contains more minerals, such as iron and magnesium, than non-organic produce, and higher levels of antioxidants such as phenols and salicylic acid.

PS: I know why I felt the need to say all this.

edit:

Do you think there is a role for biotechnology in agriculture? What is that role?

There are good uses of biotechnology. There should be more research in the understanding of genomics. Marker assisted breeding and conventional genetics have been powerful solutions.

Unfortunately, the huge emphasis on GM crops is blinding us from seeking better, more sustainable options.

Genetics is beautiful. It allows us to gain so much knowledge about plants. Instead we hear that GM is biotechnology.

It's a question of who controls the science. Today we have privatization of science and technology where the focus is on developing products that generate the biggest profit. Food that is privatized may not be good for human health or the environment and won't contribute to global food security. Plants aren't a factory for profit.

Yeah, its a blog.

A newspaper is just recycled junk paper with glue.

The American constitution is just a piece of paper.

I think its the information you dont agree with, or feel emotional about.

Dont you find it a little weird that, gaza, the most controlled piece of land currently on this planet, still manage to find material to fire thousands of "Katuskha"-rockets into rural areas in Israel. If you read the information and don't get hung up on the fact that its a blog you will see that 0 deaths have occurred from them, besides from the four suspicious deaths mentioned, while they have killed hundreds of Palestinians in retaliations from IDF etc.

Anyway...

By Henry Makow Ph.D

(originally "Compulsory Suicide for Jews" from Dec. 2002)

On Nov. 25, 1940, a boat carrying Jewish refugees from Nazi Europe, the "Patra," exploded and sank off the coast of Palestine killing 252 people.

The Zionist "Haganah" claimed the passengers committed suicide to protest British refusal to let them land. Years later, it admitted that rather than let the passengers go to Mauritius, it blew up the vessel for its propaganda value.

"Sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice the few in order to save the many," Moshe Sharett, a former Israeli Prime Minister said at memorial service in 1958.

In fact, during the Holocaust, Zionist policy was that Jewish life had no value unless it promoted the Zionist cause. "One goat in Israel is worth more than the whole Diaspora," Yitzhak Greenbaum, head of the Jewish Agency's "Rescue Committee" said.

Rabbi Moshe Shonfeld accuses the Zionists of collaborating in the Nazi slaughter of European Jewry directly and indirectly.

Several years ago, when Ariel Sharon was prime minister, his main advisor, Dov Weisglass “jokingly” said that Israel’s siege was intended to put Gazans on a diet:

“It’s like a meeting with a dietitian. We need to make the Palestinians lose weight, but not to starve to death.”

"hahah...."

IDF have/had a document entitled “Food Consumption in the Gaza Strip – Red Lines” which sets out the minimum calorie intake needed by Gaza’s million and a half inhabitants, according to their age and sex.

Bottom-line is;

This is not a 2 sided conflict. Its just presented as such, the nazi analogy is fitting, sadly. Its just a different mask on the same face.
