I don't own any of those games. So this is a must-buy?

Fair and informative critique. Awesome post (downvote but I felt it was worth letting you know).

I've been really interested in Gemini Rue. Does anyone know if it activates on Steam (I see the Steam logo but don't know if that means I can register on Steam) or how good of a game it is?

Lazy? Its a videogame. I'm just goofing around. A checkbox wouldn't kill anyone (most likely).

That number is changing constantly and can not be used for the "recommended items" page that it shows by default. It would also just be nice to have it enabled by default.

I'd kill for a "hide items I can't afford" check box.

Blizzard: Diablo 3 account compromises historically in line with WoW expansions by mehgandavidin gamernews

You don't know shit about the people being hacked, and you're willing to believe a corporation that is lying to save face before your fellow players. If you're not on Blizzard's payroll I'm not sure why you decided to start representing them.

Good to know they're not against calling dozens of their online posters liars.

My original comment says people with authenticators are getting hacked.

Wouldn't work with an authenticator.

I'm not a fan of Macs and Macs are not impervious to viruses, but it's a fact that you're less likely to get one by virtue of using a Mac. So I don't see anything significantly wrong.

Seems to me that an insecure password will get you "hacked" on most any OS.

How so? That would imply a brute force attempt on the account, and if you've ever had trouble with your password in Diablo before (I have) you'll note there are measures in place to prevent that.

Diablo II actually had a pretty kick-ass plot and explains Diablo's resurrections perfectly, so not sure where you're coming from here.

Uh what? Selective memory dude. There was a huge deal that occured not more than maybe one or two years ago with a man in the middle attack that caused hundreds of accounts to be hacked in WoW with authenticators.

I don't buy it and its shameful to see Blizzard trying to save face by blaming players. I played World of Warcraft and it was apparent people would get hacked through viruses, keyloggers, fansites, etc.

However, with Diablo were seeing people get hacked who had an authenticator tied to their account. Were seeing Mac and Linux users get hacked. Even people who played WoW since launch without getting hacked are now getting hacked. Whatever is happening is likely a vulnerability in the game client itself and I really hope someone proves it so Blizzard can be called out on this.

Blizzard Breached: 'Diablo III' Player Accounts Hacked, Items and Gold Stolen - Forbes by teddyadornoin Diablo

[–]Lucavious 4 points5 points ago

A breach would imply that Blizzard's own servers were compromised.

No it wouldn't. A server breach might, but simply saying a breach is perfectly appropriate. I don't understand some people's swiftness to press their lips to Blizzard's cheeks at the first sign of trouble.

Hey guys, something to consider about the "blues being better then legendarys" hot topic right now? by kallellin Diablo

[–]Lucavious 2 points3 points ago

That sounds kinda shitty that legendary items are so rare that most players will never see one even through an entire play through of a difficulty, yet even if one does drop you have to hope for yet another small chance for it to be competitive with blue items? I don't buy that. That's silly.

If you don't have insurance the ER will let you die!

They will under specific circumstances. Do you need an organ transplant but can't afford it? You're out of luck. Radiation treatment for cancer?

Sure they won't let you bleed out if you've been stabbed, but if you need advanced care beyond what a typical ER can provide, yes they will let you die.

Facebook stock down by 10% in 15 minutes of trading - investors have lost 10 billion (on paper) by Hedegaardin news

Can anyone explain why it was necessary for Facebook to go public in the first place? Doesn't this remove a lot of their own creative freedom and force them to generate more revenue than necessary every year? I can't see how Zuckerberg stands to win from this by trading his vision for the business for more cash.
