TROPHY CASE

What myths about health/body are people the most stubborn about holding on too, despite the lack of any evidence to support them? by BriMcCin AskReddit

[–]MicMcKee 0 points1 point ago

I save all of my sick days at work for when/if I get a migraine.

I have to lock myself in my room with a towel over my head and try not to vomit and die.

I got one when my band was in the middle of a set (I ignored my aura, or tell that it was coming) and when I finished ran out the back of the building promptly vomited and fell into the fetal position weeping until someone found me and took me home.

My favorite gift I got at the end of a year was a 6 pack of Blue Moon,

I don't like beer at all, but it showed that the family realized that I am in fact a normal person.

Yes,

I can't say that I'm happy with the fact that I've got to deal with the servers, but I can totally see why they need to do it

You are correct,

But you have to realize that they addressed a vast majorities gripe about the online/offline portion and now people are upset that their complaints were answered.

If there's another way to make that work I'd like to hear it.

I'm not real happy that I've got to log on to their servers, but I do see that it's due to a lot in part of consumer complaints being adressed

That's the thing though,

Most people start out single and then want to go multiplayer, and then complained about it.

Most people are not being honest if they say they'll never want to go play online.

You are going to get complaints from both sides of the coin here,

A huge gripe for people was that single player characters couldn't get onto their official servers.

The reason? Because people hacked and cheated, and the open servers became a huge joke since they were so hacked. So they made you create new characters for their servers. People were upset they had to start all over again.

The changed it so that they could seamlessly go between them, and the only way to do that was to protect the character data from the people that are looking to exploit them.

I will say that I honestly don't think the online portion is to prevent piracy,

It's a way to protect all of the in-game items that are going to be sold on their auction houses.

If you played the first two, you know that duplicating items was a big problem so the only way to protect it is to house characters on their servers (WOW style).

Is it still a money making scheme? Yes. Was it still an oversight on their parts because they didn't have enough muscle to deal with pre-order traffic? Yes.

But I wouldn't throw the "Anti-Piracy" card out because they are well aware of the fact that people will make the rogue servers if they want. They just want to protect their AH cuts.

This is the first picture on reddit that I can say "hey I know exactly where that is"

On a second note,

Why would you get a Ferrari in DE? You're just going to get stuck behind drivers going 15 under the speed limit.

I'm actually looking to pick one of those up now,

Gosh I love those cars, but it's getting tough to find ones that haven't been manhandled.

Yeah, I teach at a dyslexic school and the anxieties a lot of them associate with school already are dissipated with the addition of things like animals.

You should see our earth science classroom, fuzzy animals everywhere!

We actually have a few on campus. They are teacher's dogs that pass this 'therapy course', don't know all the details since I've never had to run a dog through it.

Essentially there are links between having a dog in class and focus, security, etc. and once they pass that course our school allows you to bring them to school with you.

I'm a pretty animated guy, running around the room and yelling when I teach, he would just peak up and recross his paws.
