as the owner of a built xj, i rarely if ever get the wave from wranglers here in va at all, just other built xj owners. as xjs are becoming more popular, i'm hoping that the wave will start to extend to all jeep guys. to me, it's like the motorcycle wave. doesn't matter what you ride, other guys on bikes are gonna wave to you. my $.02.

i was a sophomore at vcu in richmond, va when the shit went down. there wasn't a big brown population at the time there so we had to band together for awhile. didn't matter if you knew the peope/person or not, we had to travel in groups to keep from getting hassled or fought. i started carrying a knife. my sister, who is hindu, got hassled and had a milk shake thrown at her from a car window. i was pretty involved in the punk rock/hardcore scene at the time, so i stayed in the protection of a bunch of tattooed knuckleheads whenever i could.

pocahontas is pretty cool if you're into family-style camping. if you're looking for something a little more primitive, i go to crabtree falls in charlottesville a few times a year. takes about two hours, it's a beautiful drive, and you can have a little more privacy to be as drunk and as loud as you want.
