While 4 ref is a good offer for a S. Rocket Launcher, and I'm sure you will find one easily, the S. Kritzkrieg has gone for as much as 17 keys recently.

Only saying this in the case that "4 Keys" was a typo, where you actually meant "14 Keys". Which would be more feasible.

You are going about this wrong, sorry to say.

When you make a post saying, [H] Inventory [W] Keys, that is what people are going to expect when they click the link to it. To then switch your position in the notes is not kosher.

If I was a moderator I would ban this post.

In the future, include in the title the items you wish to trade and what you would like for them. That is how this subreddit operates.

Well, you can bet that people who have "the hook up" aren't exactly lining up to answer this question for you.

If you have product, but need an outlet, you are going to have to find that on your own. Or pay somebody for their's when they are no longer in need of it. Which goes back to my first post. Gain an intricate working knowledge of the market in which you are participating, and then use that knowledge to devise a strategy from which to work from. This all comes from experience and planning. And experience can only be gained one way.

Asking questions like, "How do I make money from trading" is only going to give you generic answers to a generic question.

Also, idle. You should do some research on that as well, as mentioned above.

Don't we have one of these threads every week? The get rich quick schemes, the road to success seekers?

As with any investment, the road to profit is found by taking time to understand the market in which you are participating. Which means research, research, and research. Which means, look over all the information available to you and then take some time to devise a strategy that you believe will be cost effective. Then stick to that strategy and hope you get it right.

Maybe there should be a side note for this subreddit along the lines of a "Getting Into Trading" type post.

That's a superbly informative post. I genuinely thank you for that. I guess my original statement that the parts were "overpriced" was uninformed and lacking in appreciation for market driving forces.

edit It's definitely clear you're not being hostile. Also, as mentioned before, I wasn't trying to be rude. I made the original comment because I am surprised that the market value has settled (at this point) where it has. I think that there is room for the prices to come down, but if the market prices can bare as they are, then I am not complaining, I am just not buying. It was just a casual observation. I don't mind being corrected, especially when it's relevant and supported in such a way as your following comments.

Not sure why you're apologizing. The wiki was or is incorrect and it has caused some confusion. I thought that the person selling the crate would be a better point of reference due to the fact that he had possession of the crate. So no worries.

Not to be rude, but it does seem like a stupid distinction. I'm no ecomonics degree holder, but I think that the parts are overpriced. In the sense that the benefit or service they provide is not worth the amount you would spend on them. For instance, with the S. Sniper Rifle going for a key, how can a headshot kill be going for 2 ref. When that arguably is the weapon most suited for the use of that part, does the part actually provide an equal amount of value. I mean, it's one counter, you can't shoot shit with it.

Anyhow, maybe I don't understand the strict definition of overpriced in economics. I always thought movie theatre popcorn was overpriced, but people buy it all the time. I mean, that shit is overpriced, for real. So, how does that work?

edit Also, to clarify, I wasn't so much predicting that prices will drop, I was stating the price at which I think their value would be best represented without going into much detail.

This. As supply increases the price will decrease. And since the crates are dropping now you will see the RL drop from 4 keys to 3 keys tonight. It will probably settle between 1-2 keys.

Honestly, I think that strange parts are over priced all together. I could see headshot kills being 1 ref, and the rest settling around 2 reclaimed or lower. But that's just me.
