70 - 75 is not a bad speed at all in the carpool lane. It's the people that drive the same speed to the people to the right of them. Ok, you're in an HOV lane, but if you're going to drive the same speed as the rest of the traffic, please move your happy ass over. This is a huge problem in the DC metropolitan area. Well, at least for me it is. It seems to cause more traffic every morning and every afternoon. I generally avoid at least two accidents a day in the DC metropolitan area as well.

My friends were at this. I am glad I couldn't attend. The only way i see this as the cops' fault: they didnt announce over some loud speaker and/or mega phone to everybody to disperse etc etc. Even then, I am pretty sure it's hard to hear warnings around multiple DJs and Bands plus the roar of 8,000 drunk college people in a small area. All the people complain about the police escalating the situation farther than it had to be. Yet, the "rioting crowd" was throwing bottles and lighting dumpsters on fire. Smart. Truely.
