this suggestion is a bit different...

if you can, find a living history presentation somewhere around where you live. a good place to check is the local library or museum, or find out if there's a heritage event going on this summer near you. historical reenactors can get you all jazzed up and act as a springboard to reading about a particular individual, a geographic location, a period of history, etc.

"Home Alone" kicks ass on the bad guys. it's empowering. lots more movies like that nowadays. when i was a kid movies were always about your dog -- who's your best friend -- getting rabies and you having to shoot it, or momma deer dying and leaving behind an orphan fawn.

now i'm all sad.

i believe my nephew watched that movie at least 500 times when he was a kid. he never referred to the character as "Kevin," just called him "Home Alone." he was enthralled with the movie, wanted to talk about it all the time.

we had a party once and charged a buck a head. cleared $400 after spending about a hundred bucks getting everyone bombed on everclear punch (cheap drunk). it's all about an efficient delivery system.

i don't think you have the necessary entrepreneurial spirit. you just get some other things and then you sell them. it's just that easy. i guess. i'm dirt poor too. sold other things when i was younger. got tired of calls at 3 a.m. wanting to know if the store was still open.

eh. i take my car in regularly for oil changes. one winter, mice had taken up residence in my rickety old garage and built a nest in my car's air filter...two weeks after getting the oil changed. my mechanic saved the air filter to show people what mice can do in a short amount of time.

it's a decorative face in a rather nouveau style, and i think it was trendy to do the big caps with super tall ascenders. kinda limited use, good for beauty salons and day spas. I could see it being a Former First Lady thing -- kind of a Junior League thing -- and it's got a little bit of hipness to it.
