The keys are in the bag. The zipper is in the car. The car is locked. by therymanin funny

You could cut through the small front pocket to get to the larger section. This would show no overt damage, at least.

I know everyone knows House is based on Sherlock Holmes, but did anyone else catch this? by Trojaneer_Southin entertainment

Clarified my reasoning in the original post. I agree that BBC Sherlock is not referencing House.

Question for waiters: when I stack up the used dishes at my table for you to carry off, is it actually helpful? Or do you have a system that I'm actually fucking up. by MateoDemoniin AskReddit

Not only do servers typically tip out to bus and bar, but sometimes to the kitchen, too. And at those hibachi restaurants, servers tip out 30-50% to the chefs, who already get a decent hourly wage.

What's something you see other people do on the computer that really annoys you? by Whimsicalboxin AskReddit

Waste screen real estate.

Watching people browse Facebook during class is so much worse when I see them doing it on the third of their screen that's not consumed by browser toolbars.

Maybe I'm particularly sensitive. I cried when Chrome killed Compact Navigation.

I'm looking for a reading list that will inspire critical thought to read over winter. Any suggestions? by atleast5lettersin books

Edward Glaeser's relatively new book, Triumph of the City, offers a neat look on the triumphs (duh) and discontents of urbanization. Specifically: why government attempts at urban renewal often fail (e.g. investing in infrastructire in ailing cities like New Orleans and Detroit is the wrong thing to do). He also talks about China and India and how their cities are surpassing U.S. ones.

Jealous of my boyfriend constantly messaging exes. Is it rational? by ex_messagesin relationships

I know straight people who chat with exes/opposite-sex friends regularly for advice on their current relationships. Maybe your boyfriend is insecure about some things and/or needs outlets to vent? In that case there're still things that you should discuss with him, but perhaps disloyalty wouldn't be among them.

Yes! That! I want to scream in response, "THIS IS STILL YOUR FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE. SIT DOWN AND CALL YOUR MOM ABOUT THIS LATER."

My student body fancies itself politically active and ever-professional, and I'm sick of hearing about internships and study abroad trips. People find ways to inject their resume fodder experiences into the remotest topics during class, and it makes me detest the concepts of interning and travelling all together.

I sometimes wish I went to my state university or somewhere less... obnoxiously ambitious.

Tell her you'll call the cops, and if she doesn't desist, leave a fake parking citation on her windshield.

If that doesn't stop her, actually call the cops.
