you could do 'okay' with a hammerdin with very little gear. the very specific build of a bot hammerdin (enigma) was very expensive -- had the economy have not been shit (aka BER was actually worth the scarcity of the rune) you wouldn't see so many damn hammerdin bots.

ah, so casting 15% faster may bring your damage up 15% but it's also going to consume 15% more

i've got a few things that give me arcane on crit -- that is absolutely clutch.

Weird. I guess it makes sense -- it is only 'hitting' every second versus every half second.

So will +attack speed cause you to just waste AP? will you stay at the same damage?

(Confused if you can't tell :D )

So in short, disintegrate is going to work better with a 2h weapon vs a 1h because the damage is higher on a 2h

And IAS works on a two handed because it's the high damage + IAS on that.

ah makes sense. i've noticed i'll gain a few levels, keep the same gear and kick way more ass even though my stats should've only toggled the tiniest bit.

i guess i don't really understand. "What really is a level?" 2 points of int, 2 points of vitality?

Is 40 points each of those the same as leveling 20?

or is it because the gear doesn't level to 80.

I've had a chance to buy a similar amulet (not level 23) from the AH but I wasn't sure if my 8-16, +90int/vit ammy would be better then the lower damage/similar int+vit/%attack

I wish auction house showed how your stats would change...

i'm slowly collecting +40 all resistance, +30 to some other resistance gear.

no idea if it'll be worth it or not :)

stacking int/dmg never hurt anyone also (unless you're leoric. ba-dum-tish)

FWIW, i'm level 58 and have about 35k health.

From what I've heard of inferno (i'm close but not there) you pretty much get one-shotted unless you have crazy health.

my strategy is going to be off the beaten path -- stack vit, dmg, and resistances like crazy. I've got my tactics down to where I only have a second or two of kiting while my cooldowns tick. You're supposed to GEAR UP like crazy for inferno, not faceroll it with broken mechanics.

no idea if my strategy will work, we shall see :)

I'm the opposite, I'll throw it up on the auction house for 5-10k (let's say it'll sell for 30k) just to sell it quick.

I can leave it up for hours and wait, or I can sell something cheap, get the money, help someone out (I imagine they're yelling at the screen HELL YEAH THAT'S CHEAP), and I can post some other decent mid 40s-50s item.

i've been keeping my eyes out for rares that have dmg, +int/vit and +%speed. one amulet popped up earlier today, but tbh it's hard to tell how much it'll increase your stats.

if i see a few when i'm rollin' like scrooge mcduck i'll pick one up and see how it does.

were they doing their initial full scan? a few of these scanners have a 'live' scanner that i'd recommend disabling. They can step on each other if you have more than one enabled (which is probably what occurred).

Good tip though, sorry I forgot to mention that!
