Switchblade is an alright deck imo. It's pretty heavy, and you have to topmount it to really get a good feel out of it. The 76mm hawgs are a pretty cool wheel, but I'd take any of the other wheels on the list first. Also, personally, I'd get a nine two five, a tomahawk or a vendetta.

Some people prefer top mounts because they're more structurally sound, and they provide greater leverage and precision.

If you're after a low riding drop through sliding board, I'd recommend the Earthwing Supermodel, with Indies if you want it to be really low.

You may also want to consider a churchill board, if you're low on funds. The Landyachtz 9two5 is also an excellent choice for a drop through freeride deck.

That hole at the end is called a slide through mount.

Personally, I'm not a massive Landyachtz fan. I would recommend an Earthwing Supermodel as a beginner freeride/downhill board. The Drop Speed is a cool board though. What city are you in, btw?

What do you want to do is the first question. Sliding, Downhill, Tricks, Commuting? Secondly, your options for purchasing boards in New Zealand looks kinda like this. You can buy boards from Ultimate Boards or Boarderlines, don't buy from Hyper. You can also buy from online shops like Edge and LongboardSkater. Or you could buy a churchill.

Honest advice, go pick up something else. Earthwing, Rayne, Churchill, Kebbek, LongboardLarry. Landyachtz and Bustin are alright too, some people dislike. Fuck the haters though, just know that you'll pay more and get less with Original.
