This may be getting a little too political for this thread, but I think that as with most things, you get what you pay for.

Pay teachers peanuts -> Get only 2 types of teachers: The ones who absolutely love what they do and pour their heart and soul into teaching, regardless of the shit pay, and the ones who aren't bright / motivated / skilled enough to do anything else.

To make matters worse, the latter group pollutes and infects the former group.

There are a lot of great, passionate teachers out there, but because there are also a lot of idiots (like OP's teacher), it's easy for the good ones to get jaded.

I use my K701 K702 to make music if and when I have the time, and they are insanely comfortable. I'd qualify the highs as realistic instead of shrill, but that's a matter of preference in my lay opinion.

This happens so often in Vancouver, it makes me seethe. Multiple times a day when I drive to and from my office, 15 minutes down the road.

I fantasize about turning my engine off, walking up to the idiot, smashing their window as I reach across their face to turn their blinker off for them, and saying "NO! You don't get to turn anymore. You're too late!"

Think of European banks, Tesla, the steel industry, even Chinese online business like Baidu and Sina...

When Google went public, they weren't valued at $100B either. They were valued at around $23B, which was a fair valuation at the time, considering their revenue and growth.

Facebook needs to multiply its earnings tenfold to take its outlandish $100B valuation to a bit more reasonable ballpark.
