There was terrible lag when I started to play online for the first time last night. It got better after a few serves, but from time to time lag was TERRIBLE. As in slow motion tennis, or a 1-3 second delay where the ball passes you and you have no chance to hit it.

I've only played the Gamecube version. Didn't even know they made a Wii one! Will have to check that out.

I own Kid Icarus and Mario Tennis and tennis is much more suited for me. Don't get me wrong, Kid Icarus is a good game. But the controls really bothered me, I hated barely being able to hold the DS comfortably while I played. Mario Tennis allows me to hold the DS comfortably and it is a fun game. If you enjoyed any other mario tennis game/sports game you should have fun with this. I'm hoping we'll see a mario golf or mario strikers sometime soon.

Thanks. I definitely see backbone mentioned pretty much everywhere, along with jQuery. Can't wait to be able to actually use them.

I learned a little about the DOM so far and I'm currently learning about OOP. This is addicting.

Thanks and yeah I'm just learning programming. I'm learning C at the same time. In high school I took some VB and C++ courses, but I had no interest in programming then. I didn't understand the point of it. I thought it was boring. But now I have an interest in it. I regret it didn't spark earlier, but better late than never!

I hear lots of talk on backbone.js and node.js, and jQuery. Thanks for the reply. My hope is to be able to attend hackerschool next summer.
