Know of any good or famous panning/dolly shots in movies? Preferably a long, one-take one, following a walking subject or couple. by 1339in movies

The movie Atonement has a long (5 min) tracking/panning shot at the start of the Dunkirk Beach scene. Not quite what you described but impressive all the same.

Sounds interesting. Were you planning to provide any of this evidence or should we just google it?

We stay for a little bit to calm him down but as soon as we mo e for the door he ramps up again. Ultimately we just have to go. He's calm again within minutes.

Need car suggestions that can hold 3 car seats by tsfn46290in parentsofmultiples

I have a toddler and twin babies. We fit them all in a Toyota Matrix. We use a Radian seat for the older child and two Maxi-cosi seats for the twins. Fits no problem.

Another nice feature of the Matrix is the fact that the trunk (it's a hatchback) has no upholstery. Muddy stroller? Easy clean up with a paper towel or wet wipes. Good for muddy dogs too.

Suggestions for Fine Dining in Victoria? by sbwallace1in VictoriaBC

I have been several times. The food is excellent, the service was attentive but discreet and the wine list is extensive. I've never seen it busy but that's no reflection on the quality.

A lot of people like to rub their face in a pussy now and then. Often, their owners even encourage it.

Non-American Redditors, what quirks or relatively strange mannerisms/customs do you notice in Americans? by stayhomein AskReddit

You have articulated some very good points. Frankly, I object to this rational interference with a perfectly good stereotype.

If I must recognize a valid argument, then ..., I think you're right that if we judge a people we should judge by their behavior not their media.

Ugh, I feel clean now.

[–]drag_free_drift 13 points14 points ago

No, exceptionalism. It is standard public discourse in American politics, media and online (I'll admit I don't talk to a lot of Americans face to face these day) to assume that all or most of what is good in the world is the result of American efforts. And, conversely, that most things that are not 'American' are crap. The rest of us like our countries but we don't necessarily think we're god's gift to the planet.

Let the down votes roll!

They seem to think their country is better than all others in all ways; even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

It's a nice country, don't get me wrong, but the best? Debatable.
