if you can make it in electronic music without music theory, think how much better its possible to be WITH music theory.

As electronic music becomes more mature, standards of musicianship and composition will increase.

its stupid to say that extra learning could in some way be harmful or at least not helpful.

At the most simple level an understanding of voice leading etc could allow you to create more interesting chords, and synth chords are fundamental to much electronic music.

while I agree that banning CP is probably the correct thing to do, its certainly not well known whether adult porn increases or decreases the incidence of rape (does it exacerbate or satiate sexual urges). Likewise with cp.

I have heard of addictive behaviour, yes. its possible porn is like this, although many people consume porn without it generating this kind of behaviour. so this probably isn't the typical pattern for porn consumption, even though a few people may suffer from some kind of porn addiction. (even for those porn addicts, is it the porn that generates the addiction, or is it their obsession with sex that they satiate via porn? not clear either way)

But even if you are addicted to porn it doesn't mean that you are going to out and rape people does it?!

Regardless many hospital patients are treated with heroin without becoming junkies. So perhaps in the same way most people who consume porn are not addicted to it, while a minority are addicted.

So what I'm saying is that while reducing CP is probably a good thing, it may actually turn out that reducing CP leads to more child rape than would otherwise be the case.

I agree with your last two sentences, but when you say "If an adult male watches pron, he can fulfill his urge to have sex..." I don't know if this is true or not.

Watching porn either SATIATES the urge to have sex, or it GENERATES the urge to have sex. You're assuming the the latter is true, however I'm not sure that the evidence is there either way. Maybe sometimes porn does one and sometimes the other.

I am assuming that we can treat the sexual desire for children the same as the sexual desire for adults which may or may not be the case. (for example perhaps its not merely sexual desire that leads to paedophilic crimes).
