The update is horrific! The updated Netflix App is like pouring salt in an open wound. That image isn't a joke. I get it at least 5 TIMES before I can watch anything! I could go on and on about how much a completely working system is now broken and forced upon us all but I can already feel the rage building up inside of me...so I'll just stop now.

Is a low quality IR filter common on web cams?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this in reviews or something (though I guess I never really knew this was something I needed to look for). I can't be the only freckly person to all of sudden realize...wow my complexion looks pretty smooth...oh wait, actually that's not right?

I'm not knocking the camera btw, just found it odd. Who knows, all those webcam vids might actually be freckle-people and we don't even know it.

Thanks for the tip, I'll test with some deep red objects or something and see how they look. There aren't a lot of settings I can mess around with on my webcam/software so I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with this but at least I know now.

If I ever mix footage from a different camera I might precede the footage with "don't be scared, this is what I actually look like" warning, lol.
