They are pickled fern fronds, the ones that have yet to unfurl. My grandparents always used to bring them back from Maine.

Yeah looking at the photos now I can definitely tell that I've lost a lot of mid section. When I look down it's hard to tell though >_> But thank you for the kind words and encouragement!

Thank you for being so encouraging, it's incredibly refreshing to hear a lot of what you have to say. And you're very correct, it's sad and great that as I move closer to some ideal, that then more people will recognize beauty. I'm sure there are people that will be closed minded and still think I'm gross, but people say that about ultra skinny people as well. To each their own!

It's definitely all about what you're comfortable with! I came to terms with the fact that I will always be aerodynamically curvaceous and honestly, it's more attractive and healthy and beautiful! I love seeing other people who are comfortable in their own skin and I think everyone has that sweet spot where they are just right.

I was not blessed with much height (I'm about 5'5") and have always had wide hips bone wise, so jeans tend to run large on me just to accommodate all the junk in the trunk >_>

As far as exercising goes, I started just walking my dogs for about 20-30 minutes a day. I still do that, sometimes I'll try to jog on my own but rather unsuccessfully. I was doing yoga 3 times a week and I still incorporate a few of the moves I liked into my routine. Now I've been focusing more on crunches, sit ups, lunges and squats. I'm to the point now where I have the endurance to do a couple of sets of each. I've been using this workout plan and I rather enjoy it.
