Where is the false equivalence here? No one is saying that Fox News is the same as MSNBC or the like because they both lie. Just that you can describe their actions, using misinformation and lies to support a political ideology, as completely biased. In fact, but using the false equivalence argument here you admit that Fox News and MSNBC/CNN/etc have something in common, namely that they spout propaganda supporting their bias. You're just arguing that such a trait does not make them equal. Which is obviously true. One is retardedly biased towards the right, and the other is retardedly biased towards the left.

I'm fairly certain you have the roles reversed here Canuckle. You may want to go back and re-read the comments, realize who was addressing the initial comment, who provided facts, and who came along spewing irrelevant hate, such as

Bill & Hannity are nothing but bullyish, smug racists who spew nothing but lies & propaganda...

The fact that you see my attack on the obvious bias of MSNBC as some sort of defense of Fox News is sad. It does show your bias, as well as your ideological belief that if someone isn't with you, they must be against you. Hence your labeling me as a part of "the other side", even though I've done nothing to demonstrate being on any "side".

As for a rational discussion, if you responded at all to the comments I made in my initial post, countering the claims I made and the sources I supplied, we could have a sort of discourse. Instead, you reply with an attack on Bill and Hannity, who had absolutely no part in the discussion, and then provide a glowing review of the admirable Maddow, completely ignoring any of the examples I gave. And then you have the balls to say that you're the one presenting facts!

I present a case with facts, and you attack it with an irrational, emotional, trite defense of a figure you have obviously put on a pedestal, and attempt change the subject entirely by attacking Fox News. If anyone's projecting big guy, it's you.

Politifact rocks. It's the most unbiased source for fact checking that I've found. They pull no punches in defending or attacking any statement, without bias. I use them constantly in researching political issues.

Well put. I've been saying this for a while. Say it to a liberal, and you're evil for wanting to destroy social safety nets. Say it to a conservative, and you're evil for wanting to steal money from people. Having significant libertarian leanings, I'd love to see both cut, but with our current government and the state of our society, I realize that is not an immediate, much less realistic, solution. Raise taxes, cut spending, and reel things in before we fall off the cliff.

Many of the tax breaks are predicated upon the number of jobs employers create, so that's a good thing! Out of state companies that bring 51% of their jobs to Wisconsin won't have to pay taxes for 2 years. That lures companies to our state, which creates jobs, which is a good thing!

The Walker campaign never stated that a teacher's salary in Milwaukee was $100000. In fact, no political figure stated that, which you would know if you even bothered to use your own brain and read the source you gave.

What's the point you're trying to make about the upcoming budget deficit? I'd like to think that you believe this is Walkers fault, but I don't think you're that simple. Are you?

Believe what you want, but there are a lot of middle class people who believe in what Walker is doing. Bringing jobs to Wisconsin, helping school districts with their financial problems, keeping teachers from receiving mass layoffs and furloughs, and keeping our taxes down (my own property taxes fell $250 this past year). Apparently you aren't a Wisconsin citizen, so I understand your lack of knowledge when it comes to what's going on here. But maybe you should do a bit of research before coming to reddit, having an artificial opinion spoon-fed to you, and then rattling off some moronic, uninformed anti-Walker comments just to get some karma and feel smart for having the hivemind here fall in line with you.
