My current mid-level lotto winnings fantasy is to buy a few apartment buildings and set up various nevada and/or maryland corporations as part of an efficient corporate tax strategy (if ya know what I mean). People always need a place to live. Obviously there are many expenses as far as repairs, water and garbage, taxes, evictions if necessary, safety codes, potential lawsuits etc HOWEVER even with all that I think it'd be worth it. I've met several people who own multiple apartment buildings and they are doing quite well. If you can accept a lower rate of return you can hire a good management company and they'll handle 80% of the work, for a fee of course.

Even without lotto winnings I would like to pursue this eventually. Gotta sit down and make a plan...
