Irish people in London, where's the craic? by kellyforealin london

I've only been living here a month myself, I got to a lot of events in camden/soho, some pretty banging place around there obviously. There's somehting for everybody really, depends what you're into, I go to The elephant's head in camden quite a bit. The Sam Smyths and Weatherspoons are cheap chain pubs that have locations all over the place that have good/cheap ale but every pub will have some sort of ale.

Banksy hasn't claimed it as his yet, i'm still skeptical (even though i do like the piece, the physical flag seems not in keeping with his style)

There are 40 million people worldwide who identify themselves as Irish. Irish people have fought wars and built skyscrapers all over the world, served as policemen, missionaries, liberators and oppressors, and created inventions that changed the world, from the torpedo to the flavoured crisp (chip), the entire world's supply of botox and much of its viagra is made in ireland. Factories in Ireland make micro processors that power computers all over the world and guide spacecraft. Not to mention our literature (Dracula was created by an irish writer) or our alcohol. There's a little bit of ireland in every city in the world.

Dublin castle in Camden, great place with great gigs. But honestly, I tend to steer clear of the irish crowd even though you'll end up running into us everywhere, there are some of the best pubs in the world here, don't limit yourself to the Irish ones.
