"Atlas", my first self-portrait. by psychiclemonadein Art

[–]rtilde -1 points0 points ago

I wish I did. A very good friend of mine is a particle physicist and I made him give me the scrap of paper that it was on. I liked the way it forms a sort of pattern.

You said it yourself, you don't really know what that math meant. It's part of your friend's phenomenal field, not yours.

You can make whatever painting you want, with whichever elements you choose. It's just your bandying of "phenomenology" and such terms to justify your choices when it clearly isn't that irks me.

If this is about phenomenology, why are there things in your portrait that have nothing to do with you?

Is the horse head and the whole map theme just there for looks too?

In the middle ages, people with mental disorders had holes drilled in their heads to "release the evil spirits". What do we do now that will be looked back on as barbaric in several hundred years? by TheWringerin AskReddit

Nobody thinks this is a good solution, but it's the best solution we have right now.

That's exactly the whole point of this discussion.

Thank you for making it easy to downvote you. Even given your history with "cancer".

Counting in binary with my hands.

It's useless because I can't look at them and just tell what number I'm at, I have to keep count from the start.

What book do you personally think everyone should read before they die? by mushroomgirlin AskReddit

[–]rtilde -1 points0 points ago

Why?

It's a good book, no doubt. But 5 times? Once or twice, a few years apart. Move on.

How was your first kiss? by madilove1029in AskReddit

[–]rtilde 1 point2 points ago

I was like, 7 or something.

We were a bunch of rowdy kids back then. Every time the teacher would leave the room we'd take all the girls to the back and try different kisses. It was a lot of fun.

The following year I moved half a world away (literally), became "the awkward new kid" and had to wait almost 15 years for the next time.

I'm sorry, but that bright purple floor reminds me more of a strip club than of something sinister.
