More trup-hop, but massive attack has some good chill beats now and again. There are some good remixes of their chill songs too

Not to get too philosophical on you, but belief (expectation) is the basis for all action.

The natural and supernatural are flip sides of the same coin, in my opinion. I don't follow psychoanalysis because it, being testable and having been tested, falls short.

Therein lies the rub, the supernatural is by definition beyond the natural world and therefore we shouldn't ever expect to find natural evidence for it.

Shared by many, yes. We are scientists but science and religion are not mutually exclusive.

Essential undergrad subjects for any math major. by shuttle_busin math

I chose Latin instead of humanities, which is an option at my university. If you have the option, a foreign language can be quite rewarding both extrinsically and intrinsically. Some graduate schools (IU) require French, German, or Russian fluency.

RC Car to Robot Conversion by tommytwoeyesin arduino

If the remote controls are essentially just buttons that trigger the radio transmitter, you could just wire into the button and send on or off using your arduino. Just connect a pin to each of the buttons. That's on the really simple end of controller types though.

Ea cenam puella filiae dare potest. She can give the dinner from the girl to the daughter. My Latin is rusty but does that even count in English for what you are asking?

Adafruit Industries makes a nice motor shield for the arduino as well as some great tutorials on how to get started with it and the arduino in general. They are written for complete beginners in mind and the owner is an MIT EE graduate.

I challenge you to make me a fractal ring with the most levels of magnification you can physically accomplish. Take any fractal inspiration you would like, whether it be a Koch Snowflake, Seirpinski Triangle, Mandlebrot set, Julia set, that fancy cauliflower, tree branches, coastlines, whatever. Abstract or nature based, your choice. Bonus points, however, for including twists and turns or braids in the overall geometry of the ring.

If this doesn't win, how much for you to make me one anyways?

Is there a liguistic explanation for Chinese speakers to mix up R's and L's when expressing themselves in Western Languages? by Zoon187in linguistics

From what I understand, in Japanese, it is due to the use of a single phoneme that is a mixture of r and l sounds in English. Native speakers will have grown up never knowing the difference from r and l and their brains will reflect that by not being able to percieve the difference nor produce the difference. Perhaps with enough specific training that could be adjusted.

Statistics would also be a good minor. It will help you land a grad school position later and give you quantitative skills that a business would appreciate.

Math + Psychology double degree graduating next spring, interested in EE for grad school. Will it work? by stroopsaidwhatin AskEngineers

I understand what you're saying. I've seen the BU LEAP program where you take a year or two to gain that undergrad background before being put into a Masters program in Engineering. It's on the pricey side though, even if I only needed one year to catch up, as they suggest on their site.

I've been spending a lot of time with some engineering clubs over the last year, even going so far as to contribute my practical computer and electronics skills towards some significant projects. I can easily see myself being employed in an area where i can apply these skills, but I'd prefer at least a Masters level background. Granted, when it comes to the academic side of things, I'd have a lot of catching up to do, but it's way too late for me to switch to EE for undergrad.

Thanks for your response!

Ultimately, I'd like to help design and build mobile robots.

From a mathematics standpoint, I find control systems to be very interesting. Especially stochastic control. But, I think my real passion lies with implementing autonomous systems. I'm impartial when it comes to choosing between academia and industry.
