Just like any modern OS both free and inactive is available memory. No need to purge unused memory in case you start up a closed application again.

Like other have said, make sure to use the provided charger. Then we must recognize that with the amount of iPads sold some are going to have issues.

If it still takes 16h to charge you most certainly have a issue and I would recommend returning it for a new one.

You could test and use another charger (iPad 3) and see if it makes a difference, that way troubleshooting your way to the failing component.

Regarding run time, you should get 10h if you don't run heavy games or applications. Anything below 7h sound wrong, but these things are hard to estimate if you don't charge fully and make a conscious effort to count the time.

The charger is 10W/2.1A and the battery is around 42.5Wh (11,3Ah), so that would indicate that it takes 5-6h to fully charge it.

Assuming the battery voltage is 3,75 as the ipad2.

You are missing the point that by making the cheapest model only 16GB they are forcing many to spend 100$ extra on something that costs apple 15-20$.

Losing that extra income too early is not easy. I don't think they will go for 32/64/128 until most people need 64GB.

4G will probably not work outside the US due to the freq used. All 4G devices have 3G however, but if I'm not mistaken only ATT is worldwide (WCDMA).

Don't think pickup is available this time.

MUCH lower latancy. Better freq handling (more users per spectrum). Limit congestion on the 3G that can be used more for voice.

Sweden and Norway are very close I would say. Denmark is also very close, but not as close as Norway.
