Has anyone had a Hysterectomy? by isleshockyin Endo

You have my sympathy. My wife is in pain pretty much every day and we're kinda too scared to go to a doctor (and can't find one we're happy with either).

I have Firefox set to delete all cookies and browser history immediately after each session. Is there a way to put a certain cookie on a "safe list"? by doublezebrain firefox

[–]swills 1 point2 points ago

Do you use something to block or clear flash data? If not, sites could still be tracking you via flash cookies.

The Xeon E5-2600: dual Sandybridge for Servers by Duraz0rzin hardware

[–]swills 0 points1 point ago*

I have an old i7-920 right now and 12GB, but I do a lot of compiling (in RAM disk) and could potentially use a lot more RAM. So the comments in the story I linked about the LGA2011 boards supporting 64GB got me interested.

Edit: Oh and:

I could see needing the extra RAM, but not for many.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced really awesome sushi place in Raleigh/Durham? by ThatsMyPandain triangle

Whatever happened to the place in Chapel Hill that had the conveyor belt? I moved to the Raleigh side of the rea a while back, so I don't even know if it's still there.

I feel the same way. I guess I prefer the more traditional places (like Kashin).

Dad's PowerBook battery popped. Genius bar response: "this is normal and the battery's way of telling you that you need a new one" -_- by HebrewHammer07in hardware

[–]swills 1 point2 points ago

Really? Got any pics? I'd love to see that. I haven't seen any do that and we've got probably 50 of them here at work and some are several years old. But I guess it's possible we're just really lucky.

That makes perfect sense... except for the fact that the newer model unibody ones without a user replaceable battery don't do that.
