I think so! Stay focused on what you actually do and enjoy, not what you don't enjoy and don't do (unless you can say it with humor). Otherwise it tends to come off negative - doesn't matter who you are.

Also the second pic of you is a better one. Obviously these are just my opinions.

I agree with most of what bangkhae said. I would also recommend to focus on your strengths in your profile, i.e. what you want a woman to find most attractive about you. I'm not sure how beer and homebrewing fit into that for you.

Also, I don't think your weight is a problem, but some of your pictures aren't flattering.

This happened to me with someone who sought me out and chatted on IM with me about getting together. Gave me her number, then disappeared. I've decided she was probably drunk talking to me at night and reconsidered afterward.

I'm in NYC too so I feel like we're dealing with the same group of crazy.

In my experience, those who cheat will try and blame it on the other person, using various ways they're unhappy as justification. The person who cheated on me had moments when they'd realize they shouldn't try and justify it, but would revert back to increasingly more ridiculous attempts at blaming me.

Ultimately there's no justification.
